Trip Highlights
If you are searching for a trek to enjoy the Himalayan nature in the remote area of Nepal, then you may want to try Nar and Phu Valley Trek. It's a great way to see the exotic beauty of the region and to experience the culture of a Tibet-like village.
The route of the Nar and Phu trek takes you through several villages of different ethnicities. It also includes high Himalayan passes, glaciers, forests, and canyons. In addition, the trek also offers the opportunity to explore ancient Buddhist traditions and cultural heritage.
Nar and Phu trek is a moderate grade trek that starts with a hike up to the Kang-la pass. From there, the trek continues through the valley and a series of suspension bridges. Throughout the walk, you'll be surrounded by spectacular rock formations and steep cliffs.
Upon reaching the Thorung Phedi, you'll be rewarded with a stunning view of the Himalayas. You'll also be able to visit the Tilicho Lake, which is situated near Yak Kharka.
Along the way, you'll see many Tibetan and Buddhist monuments and religious sites. This trek is best done during the spring or autumn months, when the weather is more pleasant.
During the monsoon, visibility can be low and the road condition can be rough. However, you can still trek the trail without difficulty. A good fitness level and some stamina are required for this trek.
The Nar and Phu trek is an adventure that requires good physical and medical health. Special permits are required to enter the area, which is part of a restricted area.
