Bungee Jumping in Nepal is a unique way to experience this country. The activity is performed under the supervision of trained jumpmasters and specialists. It is a challenging sport and requires a little bit of courage. You will have a heart pounding experience when you plunge into the water.
There are three places in Nepal where you can enjoy this activity. They are Kusma, Pokhara and Bhote Koshi. To get to the jump, you can fly, motorbike or take a bus.
Bungee jumping in Nepal is a 20-minute activity that takes place on a 160-meter gorge. You will be attached to an elastic cord which will help keep you secure.
You can jump as a couple or in tandem. If you are under 13 years of age, you must be accompanied by your parent or guardian. A medical checkup is required before you can participate in bungee.
In the first bungee jumping site in Nepal, you can enjoy a vertical fall of 160 meters over the Bhote Kosi River. This is the longest free-fall in the world.
Another location is the tower bungee in Hemja, Kaski district. This bungee is 80 meters high and offers stunning views of the Himalayas. The bungee is not as high as the Bhote Koshi gorge, but it is still a challenge.
Hemja bungee is one of the most exciting locations in Nepal. It is about 25 minutes drive from Lakeside Pokhara. The jump has a 35-kilogram weight limit and a six-second free-fall.
